How much for side return + loft in London these days?

We're thinking of offering on a Victorian terrace in SE London, which is about 1000 sq ft in its original layout.

In my head a loft conversion can be done for £50K-ish and a side return extension for £100K. Is this wrong - is it now astronomical?

That would be extremely cheap for now, although of course everything depends on your spec, the kind of loft extension you want. Even pre Covid we paid £75k for a side return extension, and we weren’t even moving the main drainpipes for that. I think you’d be smart to add in another £75k to your budget.

SE London/ kent border, having our loft done now. Quote was 65k but will be about 75k incl bathroom all in. If you are close to us I would happily recommend our builders.

I would assume £200K or more
