Managing bathroom reno

Hello! Our bathroom needs renovating and I've had a few quotes from bathroom fitters to do the whole thing (rip out existing suite, provide new suite, plumbing, tiling, electrics etc) and the quotes have been around 15k (I'm in the south east). We can't afford this!!! It seems to me it would be much cheaper to do some of it ourselves - e.g. ripping out the suite and removing the tiles. My main concern is getting everything lined up and the tradespeople we would need in and in what order - does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

No advice on lining up trades but have you considered doing design and supply yourself and then just getting the builder to do the labour? It might take enough off the cost to make it affordable. If it’s your only bathroom you want to minimise the disruption which is where using a builder would be beneficial. If you’ve got use of another bathroom(s) in the house then you might be able to do more yourself and not have to be so rigid with a tradie schedule

Thanks - that's very good advice. We will definitely need to get someone in to do the plumbing and tiling etc but it seems cheaper to organise that separately rather than to get a firm in to do it all...
