Friday move - what have I forgot?

Moving on Friday. Very excited but also concerned we will have forgotten very obvious things! Please, let us know what we have (probably) forgotten!

make a box of all of the things you’ll want for your first night so you don’t have to dig around the other boxes

packing always takes much longer than I expect - get as much done now as you can

Get a magic sponge for when furniture inevitably scratches the wall and leaves a mark

when dissembling furniture, put all of the screws etc in a sealable bag and tape it to the furniture

leave time for things that need to be done when the house is empty, like cleaning the fridge, a final hoover, etc

Packing has already begun because, well a full house, a 4 year old and working full time does not give us much free time! Wardrobes coming down tomorrow! House feels upside down!

Labels for the door of each room. Then boxes being packed can be addressed correctly for their destination.

Yes to a box with everything for the first night but also a box for your toilet and bathroom. Toilet paper, soap, towels, bandaids, antiseptic, panadol.
