Hi,
I live in a small set of flats and on the side a hotel has a loading bay, which is also a fire escape for them. The hotel own this small bit of land.
Some residents are using this area as a long-term and permanent parking solution, which is blocking their fire escape and loading bay.
The people who park here are aware of this but continue to park here. This also means they are parking for free. The hotel are seemingly not bothered by this.
I however park a 20 minute walk away in a non permit street parking area.
This loading bay area is helpful to use for deopping things off and picking things up and even overnight every so often.
What can I do do stop the other residents using it as a long term solution, for free? It really annoys me!
Thanks.

Nothing. If the hotel aren't bothered and it's their loading bay it's really nothing to do with you.

They may have an agreement with the hotel for all you know

If it's private land, and they don't care- nothing. Unless it's actually blocking the fire escape in which case you could report the business to the council on safety grounds

Why does it annoy you? It's between them and the hotel.

It annoys me because I park 20 minutes walk away to avoid blocking the fire escape and loading bay, and parking on land that is not mine. Other residents while aware of this, seemingly don't care just carry on.

Well that's your choice. You could do the same & Park there since the hotel don't bother about it. And if you choose not to you really can't complain if others do

They are obviously not blocking the hotels loading bay or the hotel would be bothered and make them move.
