Cleaner has pulled oven dial out of the fitting - is this an easy fix? (Pics)

At rest, the dial is flush at the top but sticking out at the bottom (side profile photo). The dial will turn but it also comes out altogether and I can see behind it.

The make of the oven is Lamona.

Please tell me this is something I can fix myself and for free. First time I’ve ever had my house cleaned, didn’t think something like this would happen 😔

The fella who cleans my oven takes off all the knobs, cleans behind them and then puts them back. It looks like it hasn't been put back on straight so I'd try pushing the bottom in to straighten it up or take it off again and put it back on straight.

Oh! I’d never have thought they were designed to come off? That is slightly more hopeful in that case. I thought it had been damaged!

They haven’t done a great job, the handle looks filthy!

Ive got a lamona oven and take them off to clean behind they should just push back on I think they are supposed to come off so you can clean them

Right then so it’s not the dial that’s the problem it’s the mechanism behind it that’s become loose. The prong itself is able to be moved and rests in a sticking upwards position, hence the side profile shot.

This is going to cost a fortune, I can tell!

It’s pushed back, at an angle, and moveable. 😞

Photograph the knob from all angles please. I'd expect it to have a grubscrew, and possibly a locating collar
