External AC unit and noise assessment

Hello we have applied for ac unit installation for our attached house. The council is requesting noise assessment to be done as part of application. Has anyone done this recently?
Any advise for ac unit and assessment companies really appreciated!

If you know the model of AC you want, it might be that submitting the details which include any noise output in decibels is acceptable. If not, there are many companies which offer noise assessments but they tend to be larger companies so the cost could be reflective.
