House insurance - renewal soon current insurance company said no thanks?!

We've been with our insurance company for 2-3 years and we're about to renew. I was going to do a comparison but received an email from current insurers saying 'we won't be renewing your insurance this year'... WTAF?
what's this about? We live in a nice house, good area, low crime (in immediate area). We have an alarm, Cctv, not claimed with them, and our last claim was about 8 years ago with a different company for a leak in the bathroom.
Will this affect us being able to get insured elsewhere?

I had this with contents insurance a few years ago - like you I was really worried I was on some blacklist but I had no problems getting another policy. The insurer may just have withdrawn from the market in that area or changed its risk profile - I doubt it is anything to do with you personally.
