London maisonette/garden question

This is really for those who live in, have lived on or are in the know about these types of properties. I own a purpose built 2-bed Edwardian maisonette in a popular part of London.

As with the propert itself it doesn’t have the biggest garden, one of those side returns with small but useable yard in the back. It has room for loads of container plants, outdoor furniture and bike/bbq storage.

BUT there’s a large shed at the back. Kind of shed meets garden office with electric and windows etc just not insulated/heated etc.

I and DH don’t know whether to a) keep it and use it properly (it’s basically full of crap I don’t need) or b) get rid and gain a couple of sq metres of garden which could be very nice with a bit of TLC - what do you reckon is best for the value/future sellability of the property? What would you rather?

If you turn it into a useable office then I think it would add value but unless you are planning to sell I would just make the space work for you. If it’s just sitting there cold and full of stuff then it’s detracting from the garden and not offering anything in return.
