anyone with experience of a double aspect house?

The house I am looking to buy has 4 narrowish rooms and each has a 2 windows opposite each other.
I am wondering what this is like to live in, are there downsides like getting really hot in the summer or weird draughts slamming doors or is it all just lovely and light?

We have 2 double/ triple aspect rooms on the ground floor. The main problem for us is birds flying into them - and usually dying.

We put up reflective stickers shaped like birds of prey, which has certainly reduced the problem, but as there are hedges and trees on every side, it hasn't entirely stopped.

Furniture placement can be a pita.

I wonder why the birds fly into them? Is it because they can see all the way through?

We have a few rooms in our house like this. Pros are that there is always some nice light coming in somewhere and you can move to the other side of the room if it gets too hot. You can create a through draft if it's hot. You can see the front and back gardens from each room which is nice.
Cons are that the rooms can feel long and narrow so we've broken them up a bit with furniture.

Not too worried about furniture, because it's such a little house, we will want each room to do double duty anyway. So living room one end, dining table the other. Bed one end desk the other. That sort of thing.
