Aluminium Patio Doors ?

We need to replace sets of 4 fairly standard Patio Doors.
I am thinking aluminium in anthracite can anyone give me an idea of price.

What sort of price difference is there between UPVC and timber.

Any comparison prices would be helpful. We are midlands.

You'll get a much more useful answe by asking a window company! Prices and specs vary hugely depending on materials, size, hardware, upgrades (low profile etc).

Depending on where you are in the Midlands, we used The Window Company in Solihull and they were very good - I'd recommend them for a quote.

I was given a rough guide of £2000 per set of double glazed oak French doors but any random prices for UPVC or aluminium would be really helpful before I ask for quotes from window companies.

Couple of years ago these were £2,300 They are made by origin and were fitted by a local company. I’m also midlands. We do need a bigger set soon , not sure how much they will have gone up. No issues with them.

Thanks so much , they are lovely, I will compare wood, UPVC and aluminium.

I have today been quoted £8k (Sunflex), £6k (origin) and £3k (aluk) for 3m wide aluminium sliders with solar glass including installation.

Definitely look around, visit showrooms, and get a few different quotes. The prices seem to vary wildly, and when I went in today having received the quotes, to look at the products irl, I found I much preferred the aluk to the more premium origin ones (luckily since I can't possibly afford the origin or Sunflex 😂)

I'm quite horrified by the cost, but one of the dc broke a pane in my draughty old ones so time to bite the bullet.

Thank you. That's really helpful . We need to replace four sets of doors and we rarely even open them! We probably need them to move furniture in and out. I am sure fixed full length windows would be less expensive.
