Moving North

We are currently in Medway, Kent and are exploring the option of making a move up north towards Hull area.

have 2 children, 1 in primary and 1 will start secondary in September, grammar stream.
Must be an area that has clubs for them to attend, scouts/brownies/football/gymnastics etc

Any suggestions on areas to look? We have been suggested Immington but a few posts say this may be an area to avoid.
3/4 bed preferably detached, not an old house. Upto £350k budget
