Gifts for people when moving house?

Hi all I'm moving next week and plan to leave a nice bottle of something for the new owner, plus give a cash tip for the movers. What about other people involved in the move eg EA, solicitors, did anyone give them cards, gifts etc?

OMG, so sorry OP.
Horrible to have that happen so close, on the very cusp of exchange.

I left a bottle of wine for the new owners and tipped the movers £20 each.

that’s enough

This exactly. Our sellers left us a bottle
of fizz which was appreciated.

Thanks everyone for the further replies however the move has fallen through 😩our vendor pulled out of the process as they're facing redundancy, we have to stay put as cannot afford to rent, plus if we step off the ladder we lose our fixed interest rate

Oh, I’m so sorry - I hadn’t got to the end of the thread before I posted.

Hopefully things might be salvageable - DH was made redundant halfway through our last sale/ purchase and I thought it was all over, but he actually managed to get another job really quickly AND our lender was fine with him changing jobs and our mortgage offer stood.

You pay the solicitor etc enough. If they did a good job, then leave a good review when they send a follow up email (and they will) and recommend them to friends etc. If a junior member of staff was particularly good, a note to the office boss with positive words is really encouraging and good for their record.

We left a card for our buyer.
otherwise-definitely not!! The EA and solicitor were appallingly. I barely even wanted to pay them let alone a gift
