Has anyone used this company before? Had a quote of them and seem middle of the road in terms of costs.

Thanks!

I'd have to say it's best to use a local firm of solicitors.
Anything far away may just be a conveyancing factory, which may work as well, but if there are problems and hold ups you may find you have no one to deal with, or different people every time saying different things!

Put muve.me.uk into Trustpilot and click on one star reviews.

I don’t think they can be UK based if their url is .me.uk.

They're based in Sri Lanka or something - my folks' buyer is using them and there's been some massive issues - luckily they've exchanged now, but it was really bad. And early process checks weren't done.

Apparently .me is the internet domain for Montenegro. Beautiful country that I can’t wait to go back to. Wouldn’t want my conveyancer living there. I think there’s a two hour time difference, for starters.

They are based in Sri Lanka. I’ve had dealings. Not as a client. They change case worker quite often.

I would never cut corners with conveyancers. You get what you pay for and local is always best. 🙌🏼

I had to change to another company because after 3 whole months and letters from concerned parties, nothing was getting done. They promised a full refund, then gave me.... £4. Yes, £4 ! Then, hid behind terms and conditions. I bought cheap, but had to buy twice.

If you’re in Gloucestershire I can give you details if an excellent conveyancing solicitor.

She dealt with the sale of DM’s house last year. DM got persuaded to use a different solicitor for the purchase - not local - and they were horrendous. We had so many problems with the solicitor not responding and there was no way to just pop down to the office. Two different solicitors and two very different experiences.

I’m selling my house now and I’m using the same one that DM used for her sale. Once again, she’s amazing. Easy to reach by phone, incredibly patient with my stupid questions and seller anxiety, and typically answers my emails the same day, if not, the next day. Really proactive too.

She’s not the cheapest (around £1500 for selling only, I’m not buying) but we’re on schedule for completion within 8 weeks. And that’s with the other side’s solicitor holding things up for a fortnight (took them a while to prep the contract).

Having had a terrible experience with DM’s purchase solicitor last year, I’d only ever use a local one now.

The other benefit is that I always drop documents off by hand. Speeds things up but more importantly there’s no risk of anything getting lost in the post. Towards the end of the year there’s a much higher volume of lost post so if you’re sending important documents in November/December it’s even better to go local.

Sorry to hear that. Please leave a review on Trustpilot if you can.

We used an online company once... terrible decision and have always stuck with a local firm since then (once i sat in our solicitors reception area waiting for our solicitor because I couldn't get proper answers over the phone which is obviously not possible with an online company!).

My mom bought my house from me, and she used muve, they were terrible. They would quite often say they’d asked something, that my solicitors said they hadn’t. There were a few times like that where we caught them out.
the best part was four days before completion, the person dealing with it went on holiday without telling us who was taking over so we were clueless until the last minute!
