Will we ever move?!

We’ve been under offer for nearly 6 weeks. Our lovely buyers knew that at the time and have been patiently waiting for us to find something. The market is so so incredibly slow.

We found a perfect house which was very overpriced. We’ve offered what we think is fair given sold prices and the area etc. The sellers are holding out for a higher offer. It has been about a month now and still not gone SSTC in Rightmove. Even so there is nothing else coming on.

We have to port our mortgage (have a 10 year fixed on a fantastic rate) so can’t risk selling and not finding anything within the 6 month period.

what do we do?! Will we ever move?!

I’m in a similar position just now actually!

Tbh I would ask how much the sellers are looking for, and if it was within my budget and my “dream home” I’d up my offer.

@Chickenpastabake yes we do need more space.

@Christmascracker0 they kept telling us they had ‘other offers’ and ‘asking price’ offers but that was a couple of weeks ago and still not sold. So I just feel that we would be bidding against ourselves at this point! I’m all honesty we are close to our max so will only offer more if really pushed.

They obviously haven't otherwise why haven't they taken those offers? They are likely using yours on the table to generate interest. They sound annoying.

they might of had offers but from people that still need to sell!
