Second viewing at 7/8 weeks

Buyers made offer after one viewing.
Solicitors are at enquiry stage and waiting on searches to come back. Buyers have had mortgage offer.
No survey has been booked so I'm assuming they might not get one but just had notification that they want a second viewing next week.
Of course, I've sad yes but is this fairly standard this late on?

Yes they probably want to come and measure up. Curtains and the like.

We did this on second viewing

Fingers crossed. I just got a bit worried.

We went for a second viewing on our purchase when around 5 weeks into conveyancing, post mortgage offer and post survey. It was for measuring up and to take a slightly more detailed look at certain things like the flooring which we hadn’t paid much attention to on first viewing. Nothing we would pull out for, just wanted to remind ourselves of what we are spending our money on!

It’s completely normal.

We did make it clear to the EA when we arranged the appointment that it this was all we wanted from the viewing, so that we didn’t spook the vendor.

Our buyers haven’t instructed a survey or arranged a second viewing but I’m sort of expecting them to do so before exchange.

Are you expecting a survey before exchange Caramel?
I've been waiting for one but nobody has contacted me regarding one. I hope they don't do it last minute and try to get me down on price. 😒

No, I don’t think we are although I’ve not explicitly asked the question via our EA. Our house is less than ten years old though so we understand why they haven’t bothered.
