DIY kitchen - Dalby - anyone have one?!

Hello! We are about to purchase a kitchen from DIY Kitchens, they have been absolutely amazing so far. I got a little flummoxed with all the choices but I think I have settled for Dalby Carbon as it seems to be the darkest of the Carbons. I have also bought some sample doors and Dalby does seem the darkest of the ones I have ordered.

Dalby is a foil wrapped unit and I have read they can peel if not protected from heat and steam. I was just wondering if anyone has the Dalby kitchen and how they have found it? I have searched Instagram and can't see any Dalby's which I am not sure whether I should be concerned about 🤣

Thank you!

Daley is relatively new, which may be one reason there aren't so many photos of it.

I LOVE it, especially in the carbon!

I loved the malton first of all, and so very nearly ordered it, but I really really don't want a foil wrapped one. It's the foil wrap that gives it the timber look and the density of colour.

I don't like the others as much.

But I will be getting my kitchen from there, they're great to deal with and you can't beat the price for the quality.

Thank you! The Dalby one says it's
'Foil Wrap MDF, 22mm Thick, Smooth Finish' and the sample door I have doesn't show any timber, it is smooth. What puts you off the foil wrap? I have had a read on mumnet re foil vs painted and some say foil peels others say it's been fine, so hard to decide as I like the colour! I also don't like the Timber look, I ordered a Norton Carbon sample door and the Timber shows and looks plastic almost, but that's just my view, others may love it. I have attached the two sample doors (and my cats leg 🤣)

Ps @SuperbSummer2023 which kitchen have you decided on? I didn't know Dalby was new, so thanks for that. Also I read the glue used on foil wrap has improved, hopefully others will answer and help me decide!
