DPC problem

Our building survey reports that in places there is not the required two bricks clearance below the damp proof course DPC.
The paving slabs should be pulled back to 200 mm and filled with a pea shingle.
Who would be best to carry this out? A builder, garden landscaper?

Either can do it. I was under the impression that 3 bricks was becoming the norm nowadays.
Ideally, if it suits, I’d use a larger aggregate than pea shingle though and dig out a shovels depth, so the aggregate was 4 bricks or 30cm deep. Makes little difference to the cost.

If it’s not causing any damp issues then it’s not a problem.
good practice is 2 course below the dpc.
rain constantly splashing onto brickwork near ground level tends to make green algae form on wall.
