What order do I do things in?

Please help! Basically I managed to buy a first house but now hoping to relocate. How do I do this? Should I sell my house first? I don't understand how anyone moves houses at all with all the chain stuff. How will I know how much I can offer on a new house?

Is it a permanent move ? Considering the cost of selling/buying is it worth renting yours out, and renting where you are moving ?

It would be permanent yes. Not for about 2 years but I didn't know how long it takes to actually find the right house so was wanting to be prepared
