Is this a promising sign?

Offer accepted back in Feb, survey done (few problems but sorted now), mortgage arranged, solicitors queries back and forth etc. Received a big pack of stuff in the post this morning from my solicitor with a property contract to sign (but not date!), TR1 transfer deed, Land Transaction return, and draft completion statement. Does that mean we are getting somewhere?
I have deposit and savings in various accounts, so want an idea of when to move them into the main 'here we go' account.

Yes, it means they are getting close to hoping to exchange.

I'd ask them if there is a proposed timescale for exchange and completion - that will give you an indication about when you might need to money.

That's encouraging, thanks. I'll sign my forms and ask them tomorrow when I drop them in. (well, pop a note on asking them - never actually met any of the 3 solicitors -retired, unforeseen leave and current - that have been involved in person)

It took us about 6 weeks from that point to exchange

@dreamersdown please may I ask what was happening over those 6 weeks?

Additional queries from other people in the chain, some more searches, agreeing on completion dates etc.

Cheers 🙂
