Whitewashed wooden floor

I'm considering this for the children's bedroom floors. Mainly to lighten things up.. is it an odd choice/out of fashion? We may be selling in a couple of years

It won't affect a future sale as if there are carpets in the rooms most people change them, even if not straight away. It's easy to put down a carpet on a wooden floor anyway no matter the floor colour. I painted my bedroom floorboards cream, blue and green stripes not long before selling the house. The buyers actually liked them as it was to be a child's room.

I don't think it's an odd choice, pretty classic TBH. It'll look great.
