How long are windows and doors taking at the moment?

Can anyone tell me how long orders of windows and doors are taking at the moment please?

We ordered some windows and doors at the end of Jan/early Feb. End of May and we are still waiting for them to be installed. We paid a 25 percent deposit.

Reason for the delay is shortage of glass and waiting for manufacturing date for the door.

Does this seem right? My Dad seems to think this is some kind of scam. This company came to us highly recommended but now I’m wondering if we’ve just been really guillible. In the past we always had a new build house so never had to replace windows before.

Just had survey for new doors today got a fitting date of 14th July

I waited about 3/4 months last autumn.
My parents have waited about 12 weeks with the same company, fitting next week.

8-12 weeks.

We waited 12 weeks for manufacturing (ordered early Jan arrived in April). Installation took ages as they had to find one of their teams with availability, then good weather...got pushed out a bit but apparently installation delays are normal for doors/window companies (according to our builder)

We've just had ours done. We waited 5 weeks and that was only because of the bifold doors and the front door. If it was just windows I'd have waited 2 weeks.

We were told 6-8 weeks, completed 2 weeks ago.
