Where to live with good community Suffolk/ Norfolk

In a few years we’re looking to move to Suffolk or Norfolk. We’re starting to narrow down the area we’d like to move to. Beccles seems to tick our boxes and has a lovely feel but ideally we’d like to be nearer the coast. Has anyone got any suggestions of towns with a great community feel, good facilities and not too overrun with holiday rentals? We’re not really in the market for Southwold or Aldeburgh! We like Gorleston but not sure it’s got the active community we’re after. Any suggestions gratefully received thanks

Bungay, Halesworth and Saxmundham and villages around them would all be worth a look for you IMO. Both Halesworth and Saxmundham are closer to the coast than Beccles. Have lived in the area almost 15 years so feel free to PM if you have more questions!

We are thinking of moving to Norfolk or Suffolk in a few years time as well. We really like the Bury st Edmunds area but it's so far from the coast. I like the location of Saxmundham so will look into finding out more.
