Replacing glass garden table top with wood

the glass top has smashed so we plan to replace it with exterior hard plywood cut to size. What do we then put on it to weatherproof it? Am very confused by my research. Need something in a small quantity as table is quite small and the easiest option as I’m not very handy :) so an all in one would he good if such a thing exists? Thanks

I think you need to ask a builder how weatherproof plywood can be made.

Our outdoor table and chairs are teak. We seal them every year with a small tin of stuff bought for this purpose. Teak can also be left bare, to go silver.
