How long to close a purchase of a leasehold flat (no chain)

So just that - how long has it taken (recently, in the past year, so "post-covid") to close a purchase of a leasehold flat, if there is no chain (on either side)? Estate agents estimated 2-3 months, which seems a long time. thanks

2 to 3 months is pretty quick for any purchase I think. There can be hold ups with purchasing leasehold properties particularly with mortgage lenders who are more cautious about leaseholds than in the past. Also you are dependent on the managing agents providing the pack and responding to enquiries quickly.

It took DD nearly 7 months. Whatever you do don't use an on line conveyancer.

Two / three months is quite short, I'd say four really. It does take time but gets there in the end. No use stressing either, just sit and wait, especially if you are the buyer who is definitely going to buy.

7 months 😵‍💫 I've got mortgage on the property agreed, so waiting for whatever next steps there are. What on earth can take so long 🤯

Took 3.5 months for me. Probably could have made it three but I wanted some further answers to specific enquiries
