Neighbours dog constantly barking throughout the night/early morning

We moved into our lovely house 1.5 years ago. The only annoying thing is we live in a cul de sac and our house is close to our neighbours where our gardens are pretty much joined by a fence . Since we moved here , Her dog constantly barks throughout the day and night. I honestly don’t mind when it barks all day in the garden, I can block it out. But she lets her dog out in the evening anytime from 11pm-6am where the dog continuously barks for 15min at a time. My toddlers bedroom is closest to the garden and it wakes him and me up. Surely you need to have absolutely no awareness of your surroundings if she thinks this is acceptable. What would you do? I just want to complain to the noise council but feel mean

Log the times and complain to the council if you don’t feel that you can talk to her about it.

Have you talked to her about it?
Perhaps she doesn't realise how disturbing it is for you

Your first course of action should be to talk to your neighbour. Record the barking and play it for her.

I also have a neighbour with 3 barky dogs in a very enclosed housing estate. I swear the barking just echos off the bricks!
She seems like a nice retired lady but not aware that her little dogs playing and barking after 8pm is unsociable. I have small children and their bedroom backs onto the garden and I am dreading them having to be woken up in the summer months when they will need their windows open.
I would like to politely ask her or leave a note about the dogs in the garden in the evening but DH thinks I just need to get over it and that it's my problem.
So I'm not sure what to do!!!
