How long is conveyancing taking these days?

I'd read somewhere it was taking longer than usual.
Is this true in general?

Where are you in the country? It varies widely, where I am it's about 20 weeks for searches but Bournemouth was taking almost a year in November which is the last time I checked.

Offer accepted on our house mid/late Feb. Offer accepted on the house we are buying Mid/late March after previous chain collapsed. Completing Beginning June.

I'm in South Wales.

I am selling actually but can't find anywhere to buy yet so hoping it takes a bit longer.😶

Offered at the start of March 2023 and hopefully will complete later this month, no chain . Last year (near Bournemouth!) accepted offer mid July and completed in just over 9 weeks. 4 houses involved and a split chain.
