Who do I need?

We were planning to move house because we need more space- DH WFH and no space for office, only one bathroom between five, kids getting bigger and needing their own space. But looks like that’s not going to happen 😣. So we are simultaneously looking at extending. We’ve used an architect to design an extension, but it’s quite limited by the size of our house and garden. It gives us a bit more space but no extra rooms. What I really want is for somebody to look at the existing space we have, understand what we need from it and tell me whether/how to rearrange our current layout to make the most of it. E.g you could put more kitchen cabinets here, change this room round, create a space here for a desk, that sort of thing. I kind of thought the architect might give us that but not sure, it’s more structural than focused on use…do I need an interior designer? Isn’t that just for rich people, not people trying to just make best use of the space in their 3-bed semi..?

You can find many video episodes on his youtube channel to get an idea of what he does. He offer space planning service via his own website where you can book an appointment. Good luck.

There are also programs that help you with planning and designing the space. Something like https://interior-design3d.com/ could be useful
