What was your training like? Were you an apprentice and do you have an apprentice yourself? I know a lot of people in the UK are worried about a skills and training shortage in your field and I was wondering if it was different in Ireland.

Southern or Northern? Southern I'm guessing. Did you train in both trades. My husband is stonemason in NI but two weeks ago company went bust so he's now going to Wales for a 5day tiling course. He can tile (and is very neat and fussy) just to pick up extra tips and learn about the business end of things. If anyone needs a tiler in NI...haha.

Please can you tell me how to get skirting boards back up horizontal? I had to tip mine down to mop up a leak in the utility room. I can’t get it back up straight under the units! It’s at a stupid angle that gives me the rage irritates me, and slides down every few days.
