I've finally completed!

After two and a half years of searching whilst renting and 14 long weeks (with no chain either side) I finally completed this week and I'm in love!

It's a small 1960s bungalow and really cool!

It needs alot of work and lots of cleaning but it's the exact thing I wanted in the exact area!

The money is scary and I'm exhausted but I did it! So for everyone still trying to get what you want where you want it at a fairly decent price, it will happen!

When I was a FTB and also when I bought my next house there was definitely none of the sense of joy / achievement that there is now, it was a just a transaction.
30-years on (and having moved last year) I agree that in the current world, exchange and completion are major milestones to be celebrated

I'm old enough to remember avocado bathroom suites and yep, I've got one again!

I spent the day yesterday ripping things out and I've got wallpaper striping today. It's surprising how quickly you forget how long things take!

Congratulations it took us 7 months I nearly said no but we are in and settled and love it. Take before and after pictures whilst you complete each room it's lovely to see how far you have come as sometimes it can feel like the work that needs to be done is never ending. I wish you all the best!

It feels so happy there. I think it was very loved.

All the original doors have been ripped out which is a shame so I'm toying with either finding replacements or going modern.

So far this is my favourite thing. Maybe a 1970s piece rather than original?
