Solicitors fees

What sort of amount should we budget for with buying and selling? Crazy range when I google it, so no idea.

Sold once and bought once. Both times fees were £2000

We ring-fenced £4K for solicitors and didn't get much change from that.

If you know roughly how much you are buying for you can work out the stamp duty which will be the most costly payment. Get 3 quotes from solicitors, personal recommendation and not just who the agents use. Agents normally charge about 1% commission which is much more than the solicitors get.

Ok thanks. I didn't realise it would be £3k+ to do both to be honest. More money!!
