Runnen deck tiles from IKEA - any experience?

We have a concrete patio but it's really cracked and parts of it are uneven.

We've had some quotes of £10k to replace it which we really don't have that kind of money. I've seen the Runnen deck tiles, and was thinking of laying these on top of the existing patio as a temporary fix

Has anyone used these before?

I guess my questions are
a) how they do they actually fix to the ground itself - all the videos seem to be just placing on top.
b) We need to extend the patio by about 0.5m - pretty much the width of a tile. Is it possible to lay these tiles on grass?

Also, for the parts of the patio that are slightly uneven, how would be even them up to be a flat surface?

Hi I have some acacia ones, for a similar purpose, we’d removed an old garage so to cover a concrete base. They do just sit on the concrete but have stayed in place for about 8 years. The wood has started to rot now so they will be replaced soon. Overall they’ve been decent value.

What would you recommend doing in order to make sure that the surface is level?

This is the current state of my patio, so you can see how uneven it is

Some bits are about 2cm lower than other bits (where the hose is in the picture)

You would need a flat surface, there may be a levelling compound or ready mixed concrete that could be used but might be better to start a how to level an old patio thread. I wouldn’t recommend laying on grass unless it is really even for these tiles. An outdoor rug might be more forgiving.
