10 bedrooms! 10 bathrooms!

This house https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/134018258#/ (or rather B&B) has come up for sale near me and it set my mind wondering... what I would do with 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

We live about a mile away and in terms of external size its only slightly larger than our house but has six more bedrooms and eight more bathrooms than ours

Lordy! I grew up not far from there and have probably walked past that house numerous times on the way to the beach.

Definitely walked past it on the way to watch South Parade Pier burning down!

That nicely dates me to anyone who lives there :-)

My house is a bit like that but I have banned everyone from using most of the bathrooms. I will only allow one toilet to be used on each floor. We don't use cleaners as it doesn't suit our lifestyle so it is all down to me and I would go crazy if everybody was using all the facilities. The DC get a bit confused if we are hiring a large place on holiday because of the relaxed rules.

I used to live a couple doors down from this house, pretty much the whole road is converted into flats. Also our one had really bad subsidence, major damp and our cat got hit by a car on a few weeks after moving in :(

Another who knows this road/area well! I grew up in Southsea, a very good friend had her first flat a few doors away from this house and my grandparents lived just around the corner.

the number of bedrooms is irrelevant. Putting up stud walls is not hard. That house should have no more than 5 bedrooms with that sq ft.

If you wanted to live in it, you’d reduce the bedrooms. On the top floor there are two tiny rooms that should be one. On the first another bedroom is tiny and could be a study. There’s a bedroom on the ground floor that wouldn’t be kept so that’s down to 7.

In reality it will be converted to flats.
