Any idea what this is?

Can any of you identify this please? It's around 3x2 feet. No other markings apart from the groove you can see.

A drawer base?

Paper, plastic, wood, metal, MDF?

thickness?

It's about an inch thick, sorry should have said that.

Any other context? Where did you find it? Why do you want to know?

Found it in my Dad's shed, no idea how long it's been there and he's no longer around to ask. It looks like MDF.

Maybe an offcut or unwanted piece of MDF that he used as a base on which to rest some wood he was sawing? If the groove is rough.
