Poorly fitted floor

The builder who is doing our kitchen has fitted (half of) the vinyl floor today. It looks pretty bad - bubbles and lumps under the floor, very obvious seam, flooring doesn't go to edges of the room. There is glue all over the floor - presumably it can be removed, but wtf.

What to do? I can demand that he pull it all up and start again, but that means paying for new flooring (the floor cost almost £600 - doubt the builder will swallow the cost) and a delay while new flooring arrives.

Or we just demand money off, accept the floor as it is and fit something over it when finances allow. But then we obviously have to live with quite a crappy floor for the foreseeable future. ☹️

I hate tradesmen. HATE.

Doesn't help, but I wouldn't let a builder fit a kitchen or lay a floor! I wouldn't pay him a penny until it's rectified.
