Hi MNers,
coming for advice. A flat we are about to buy (due to sign contract tomorrow) has got its fire assessment just come through, and the mgt company who is the council would need to replace the glazing on the entrance door to make it fire safety compliant.
The problem is, I love the door! It's all a full pane of beautiful art deco glazing, not just a detail as the door itself is made of glazing in a frame.
I am really gutted that they have to replace it.
my question is; did any of you experience a similar situation or works for a management company/council, and if so, do they try and keep the style?
oh and no fund allocated for this so it would be added to the service charge...
thanks
