Electric towel radiators

Can an electric towel radiator be installed anywhere or are they dependent on a water supply? I’m thinking of putting one on the landing as our current bathroom is falling apart and we are frantically saving up to replace it. So I don’t really want to waste time and money putting in a new radiator by a plumber hence my idea for a smallish electric towel radiator on the landing which we can use to dry towels after showering. We recently stayed in a holiday cottage that had some which were on most of the time at a low temperature but they were brilliant at drying the whole family’s towels.

Well I think the word "electric" by defintion implies they can be installed anywhere where you have or can put an electricity supply (in a bathroom this will need specialised installation).

The water fed ones are just substitutes for radiators.

You can get duel fuel ones that need both.

Save yourself the hassle and just hang the towels in the airing cupboard if you have one.
