Kitchen extractor fan/light not working

Hi everyone
we have recently moved into our new home. It’s a 5-6 year old Barratt home. I’m the kitchen is a switch panel that you turn on for washing machine, fridge, cooker hood and dishwasher. The extractor fan and light are not going on today so I assume it’s an electrical issue. I have checked the fuse box but nothing has fused there. I have no idea where else to check as I don’t even know where this plugs into or is it just wired into that switch. All other appliances are working using the same switch panel.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Are the different appliances switched on with seperate switches on the panel?

It'll be hard wired into the switch and not plugged in

An extractor fan usually has a fused isolation switch so the fuse in the switch may have gone

@Surplus2requirements Yes that’s right there are 4 switches on the panel. So if I want to use the washing machine I turn it on there. Oh is that something in the hood part or is this a job for an electrician! Thanks

I have 2 of these on show in the kitchen one is for the oven and one for the boiler can’t seem to locate one for the extractor hood.

Usually on the wall near the extractor but it's possible the switch on the panel is the isolator. Difficult to say without being there, sorry.

A Sparks would soon be able to locate the fault

My connection is actually in the chimney part of the hood, which slides up so you can access it - I only found out when a bulb we t and it blew the fuse.
Just take care as the edges of the hood are quite sharp.

Thanks @vipersnest1 for this I didn’t even think to look in there. Manage to click one side off but couldn’t get a proper view. Will have a look tomo after work. Hoping it’s an easy fix as always when just moving home money is tight!
