I really like most of it, though it’s not entirely my style. Love the green in the dressing room, looks a bit like Little Greene’s Jewel Beetle. They’re a big fan of sconces!

DottyDry · 15/04/2023 13:59

I agree, love their style (well Rose's by the sound of it). Gives me ideas for my own much smaller victorian house.

Also love Josh, listen to his podcast most weeks, he sounds like a lovely husband and dad.

ShirleyPhallus · 15/04/2023 14:03

I’m a huge fan of the podcast too

i really like that the house has such individual / quirky style, in comparison to so many other famous peoples houses (like Amanda Holden)

That is lovely. I could live with most of that, unlike a lot of 'decorated' houses I see that are so bland.

ComtesseDeSpair · 15/04/2023 14:49

It does look pretty but it’s not as “unique” or “individual” as the article makes out. The colours and style are very on trend: a glance at Rightmove will bring up loads of very similarly decorated flats and houses for sale in trendy “hipster” parts of London. Nothing wrong with that at all if they like it, that’s the way we should all live; but I suspect that as it begins to become ubiquitous and date they’ll want to change everything. Probably not a problem for them, but not something I could be bothered with every few years.

Colour-coordinated books give me the rage. I can’t see past that.

garlicandsapphires · 15/04/2023 14:58

I like the bath (though not sure how comfortable it would be) and the green sofa but don't feel particularly moved by the rest.

One of our local charity shops organises their books by colour and it drives me bananas.

dapsnotplimsolls · 15/04/2023 15:08

Most of it is lovely but it's a big fat no to those kitchen chairs and the colour co-ordinated books.

MrsMiddleMother · 15/04/2023 15:13

Really don't like it, not my style at all but they obviously love it so good for them

Choccyp1g · 15/04/2023 15:36

I like the pig in the fireplace!

LibertyLily · 15/04/2023 15:55

I think most of it is lovely and so not your typical celeb house, but I'm probably biased as I love an evolved/eclectic looking interior and have one myself. Agree about the colour co-ordinated books though.

Me too!

Aphrathestorm · 15/04/2023 16:30

Ooh it's lovely.

Can I move in??

dreamersdown · 15/04/2023 22:16

I can’t look at that lovely kitchen without thinking about the Ocado shop leaking all over it when he went on Peston 😂

Fluffymule · 15/04/2023 22:45

I like it too.

It looks like a warm, friendly home with personality.

determinedtomakethiswork · 15/04/2023 23:01

I think I might copy that sweet wrapper design on boxing day after eating quality street!

SmoothSeasDoNotMakeGoodSailors · 15/04/2023 23:08

It's lovely, I could see myself living there. Somehow Josh Widdicombe strikes me as someone who would live in student digs though, I'm sure it's very much his wife's influence.

Partyandbullshit · 15/04/2023 23:13

Honestly? It’s a bit tooooo curated for my liking. A LOT of thought has gone into it; too much thought. It’s overdone. But I get that this look is coveted, the anti-grey antidote. Rather this than grey, any day!

OKFinally · 15/04/2023 23:13

Nope, it is like Oliver Bonas on steroids.

SarahAndQuack · 15/04/2023 23:14

It's really pretty. I get why she says he keeps asking if the house is finished - it all looks pretty 2023 - but I love 99% of it, and I reckon they have the money to change it when they want.

FancyFanny · 15/04/2023 23:16

His house is lovely! It did take me quite a wile to figure out that first picture of the kitchen though and what exactly the leaf print things were- then it dawned on me! They are the chair backs!

Fixyourself · 15/04/2023 23:23

Full of knickknacks!

BoogleOogle · 15/04/2023 23:29

That is a lot of knick-knacks for a couple with a 2 year old and a five year old!
