Covering conservatory roof

As soon as any hint of summer arrives our conservatory becomes unusable due to the heat- it has glass roof and windows all round and is oppressively hot. It also leads to the kitchen so when it's really hot the kitchen is horrible too.
We're only planning to stay here for a couple of years so don't want to make a big investment but would like to be able to use it more this year!
Does anyone have some budget friendly ideas for covering the roof in any way? It's wooden framed and is sort of triangular with a central beam- it's hard to explain!
Any recommendations would be much appreciated 👍

You can get solar reflective paint that you can put on the inside of the roof glass to provide extra shade.
We also have a big square sail we put up to mimic can extra ceiling.
Both of these methods together made a difference to how long it took to get hot in there, so it helps but doesn't solve it completely.
