Moved in end last summer, fence is 40 yrs old . Between houses it’s concrete boards up to 6ft . Posts are in a very bad way . Fence company due tomorrow. Next door just reminded me that our houses are built on rafts , due to proximity to river . These can’t be damaged in anyway as will cause structural damage to our houses . Anyone faced similar? I’m thinking they’ll need cutting off ? But how to put back ? Thanks for any ideas !

Just wait to see what the fence company say - that’s why you’re paying for experts

Does the raft actually extend to where the fence is? If so, how are the existing fence posts attached to the raft? Presumably if a similar method is used, this will not cause any (new) problems....

Thank you , Iv stopped panicking now , our raft doesn't go to the fence , just next door to boundary. So as long as they’re careful we should be good . Next door will have a chat with them to put her mind at rest . Again thank you for taking time to answer x
