Phone line when moving

Hi I understand about water electric and gas when moving but stumped at phone line🤷.
I'm out of contract and will not be needing a line(going off grid/staying with family between moves).
My buyer is with BT at the moment they have asked what happens, I'm with now tv, also they are not moving in straight away to add to confusion.

You end your contract when you leave. They book installation with whatever company they want to use for after they move in.
