Fleckney or Loughborough?

Hello everyone!

I am hoping that someone can suggests which is better and why? It's for a family of 3 from black ethnic background.

My friend has seen two properties one in each of the above areas but she is not familiar with either. She has a 10 year old son so school is essential.

Whereabouts in Loughborough? Is a fairly large area whereas fleckney much smaller.

The house is in Shepshed. Not sure what part this is in Loughborough.

Shepshed is not Loughborough. It is a small town just outside. It has different characteristics. For starters, houses cheaper than Loughborough on average. Lots new builds going up. I'm not sure whether that's changing the demographic but before that I'd have said it's more working class than Loughborough, but without either the more upmarket, or more rough parts of Loughborough. Less to do maybe, depending on your friend's interests.

I’d look at Fleckney, South Leicestershire with access to better schools.
