Landlords - would you be pissed if your tenant re-sealed the bathroom tap?

Bit dramatic but it’s making me really depressed and it’s such a non issue to bother her within. Am happy to pay. Was going to get the plumber upstairs just to pop in and do it?

Should I run it past her or just crack on? Pretty sure we’ve contributed to it’s demise.

LL here. I'd definitely ask permission first and make your suggestion about getting the plumber upstairs to do it. It seems a reasonable question.

If they are on top of maintenance they may prefer to get their own person in to do it, or to at least make the proviso that it is to be left in "as good" condition as before - I.e not completely ruined.

Wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. The only time I had an issue was when my tenant replaced something and got a professional in to do it then billed me after the event when it was something that we would have just done ourselves and would have cost us about £15 to do rather than the £85 I ended up being billed for.

I would want to be aware of any maintenance but happy for you to source your own trade to do it.
