FTB. Early 30s with a 350k mortgage. Glad to finally be a homeowner and not renting. But in the 6 months or so of paying a mortgage, feel like it’s not even been chipped away at with the interest being added back.

Is this how everyone feels?

Mortgages don't bother me too much. We have renovated our home so have a £270k mortgage on a £900-£1M+ home. We've made a lot of money doing it up and the area we're in has always been prosperous and houses rarely stay on the market for long, but very central so won't retire here. We have a mortgage that will finish after I retire but by then we'll down size and have no
Mortgage, plus a nest egg from the house to see us through retirement years along with savings and pensions. So try to see the wider picture with all the factors in place
