Hi all, we’re doing up our kitchen on a budget.

I want to get rid of the tiles on the wall (in fact they are already off) as I’m just done with grout, dreadful to keep on top of.

I just want an easy wipe clean surface. We’ve got a new splashback behind the hob, but I’d like panels on the wall. Google is a minefield. And DH only really has the tools to chop wood around the plug points….

Are MDF or laminate viable base options?
