Can anyone explain this Listing History

Image attached. Assuming the seller reduced the amount twice and then changed their mind but everything seems to have occurred on the same day? Asking for a friend (honestly!) who is interested in the house which is close to mine but concerned the house has been on sale almost a year and what might be behind the reductions. I have mentioned it’s possible a sale fell through a couple of times.

I saw something like that yesterday. Very odd. Not sure if it was the same one.

Mumma · 02/04/2023 15:33

Its all the same day so id say admin error...

DanceMonster · 02/04/2023 15:34

Just looks like an admin error to me.

capybara80 · 02/04/2023 15:35

It wasn't. The one I saw yesterday was changed about 8 times over two days. I see this one is a different period.

thegrain · 02/04/2023 15:36

Admin error

twolilacs · 02/04/2023 15:55

Since four of them happened on the same day, I am guessing cock-up.

EstherHazy · 02/04/2023 16:07

Yeah this looks to me like an estate agent getting in a muddle on 6th September. Bless! ;-)

RollerCoaster2020 · 02/04/2023 21:14

It's intentional. The agent wants to boost the property up to the top of search lists by changing the price up and down. Seen it many many many times

I saw the same thing yesterday so it's certainly not the only one. I thought it wS odd. The one I saw did it about 8 times over 2 days.

How do you see listing history 🤔

donttellmehesalive · 03/04/2023 05:30

It's a chrome extension called property log

capybara80 · 03/04/2023 08:11

Just look on Zoopla under listing history.

capybara80 · 03/04/2023 08:13

Scroll down to more information under the listing.

Admin error? Was meant to reduce by £15k but typed 5. Noticed error, and corrected?

Revengeofthepangolins · 03/04/2023 11:45

Every price reduction I have loooked at in the last couple of weeks seems to have faffing up and down on the same day before settling at the reduced price. God knows why. They can't all be fat finger errors

KievLoverTwo · 03/04/2023 14:47

Looks like an admin error, but every time a house is reduced on Rightmove, folks with those criteria get a fresh email about a house they might have previously dismissed as being too expensive.

Seems likely. There wasn't any noticable interest on one I had my eye on close to work, but it went down as reduced and I saw more than one viewing taking place within days.

Eastie77Returns · 04/04/2023 19:03

Ok, didn’t think of an error being behind this. I noticed the For Sale for this has disappeared and reappeared multiple times over the last few months. My friend has now arranged a viewing but I’m worried the sellers are flaking and/or the Estate Agent is incompetent.

There’s an agent near me who does this every few days for, what I’m guessing are, the properties they can’t shift. Very annoying and we swerved viewing any of their properties because it was a bit confusing about the actual price and value.

capybara80 · 06/04/2023 22:50

Mine's being reduced tomorrow so I'll see if it happens to mine. 🤔
