Flooring

I want to take the carpet up in the dining area of my lounge, this leads on to the kitchen which has currently got porcelain tiles. I would like to run LVT right through to the kitchen, do I need a builder or floor layer? Should I take the tiles up or cover over them?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I assume you'll have different levels unless you remove the tiles first. I'd remove the tiles.
