Trying to sell our house. EAs showed house to a couple the day before it went onto the open market but the couple's house wasn't even on the market yet. They loved the house, put an offer in of asking price on ours and then put their house on the market with the same EAs the day after. Still waiting for them to have an offer a month later despite being assured by the EAs that their house was sell within a week because of price, location, condition etc.
In the last three weeks, we've had 5 more couple's view ours all with no chain so proceedable straight away and all of them have then chosen other houses for sale with other EAs that are virtually the same as ours. Same area, same floorplan/size, same price etc. The only difference is ours is a year old and the other houses have been around 10 years old but they're literally around the corner.
My thinking is, are the EAs (who are conducting the viewings, we aren't there), not selling the house as well as they could be because they want the people who have already offered and have their house on the market with them to get the house? If they don't get our house because someone else offers before they sell theirs then in all likelihood they'd take their house off the market because they only put it on to buy our house. Is this a conflict of interest?
