Steel framed home

offered the full asking price on a home, sorted solicitors and surveyors to be told they couldn’t do the surveys due it to being steel framed house. Been advised by some that it’s a massive risk to purchase a property like this due to problems long term including needing to sell as it’s hard to Mortage/also potential damp etc
gutted as had my heart set on the house and it’s in my price range!
does anyone have any advice or have been in this situation before pls
