We have fallen in love with this house...but its in a high risk flood zone (>1 in 30), and as far as I can work out from various news stories, overlooks a car park that floods pretty regularly in bad weather. Estate agent is telling us its never flooded and not something to worry about but they would say that wouldn't they! It's been for sale for ages and I'm wondering if this is the reason.
If you're local and know the house / area, would you touch it with a bargepole?
